Letters, Lines & Layers

If you have a love of expressing yourself with words as well as paint and color, then this is the class for you.  We will work with various writing tools to make writing that may or may not be legible. This asemic writing will act as a visual texture in our paintings.  We’ll layer this writing with thin layers of acrylic paints and some linear patterns to form a luscious abstract painting.  Once we establish our color story and composition with paint, we will add interest and tonality with oil or chalk pastels and watercolor crayons..   The class will emphasize self expression through markmaking, color and words.. Final works may or may not be legible. Supply list will be sent upon registration
