Texture AND Metallics - How can you go wrong?
We'll combine common household items such as cheesecloth and produce bags with acrylic mediums and color to make wonderful textures to be used in collages. Playing with some actual metals, creating simple patinas will be part of the class.
Top this texture with various metallic leafs and foils and you have the beginnings of a breathtaking collage. At the end of the day each student will put together a small, simple collage using the elements that you have made during the day. We'll talk a lot about design while you are building your collage, improving your skills for all of those future collages.
