This class takes paste papers to a new level. Students in this class will make papers that actually resemble metals! The techniques for making these papers have been developed by the instructor combining faux finish and paper decorating techniques. The colors that we will be using are a unique combination of paste, acrylic color and bronzing powders. This special combination gives a brilliant metallic look to the finished papers. The papers made in this class are great for bookbinding, collage, box making and more!

Using the Patina Papers, students will make a simple, yet unique book. This book structure has all sorts of possibilities! There are pockets for small items (some are even hidden for “secrets”), pages for journaling and cut outs to frame small photos. Make it a personal treasure by adding small photos. This book looks complicated but is actually a simple structure. The basic book is built from a series of folded squares glued together. You will be able to choose how your book is made so that it is uniquely your own!
